yesterday in west civ we watched three groups present their projects for the whole class. One group had focused their project around pottery and the different types of it. The next grow did their project on the circus maximus, they made a pan flit to give to the whole class it had lots of information including the names of real racers and set it up the way they would be back in ancient rome. The final group of the class for that day recreated a model pantheon and they explained how it was supported by the columns and how it has a open roof they also made a trifold board.

today in west civ we finished up the video of tiberius grackus and what he did and about his life we also had a small discussion about the movie/ documentary thing so not much else happened

today in wast civ we had to take a pop quiz on ancient rome that i did very bad on other than that we got to work on our projects a little bit so i cannot type much to fill up a few lines because nothing happened so.... thats all

in west civ we watched a video on the romans and a guy named tiberius crakus and it was about his father's death and him getting into power and him being killed by the aristocrats because they did not like hist morals and ways that he did things and the ways he ran things in rome

today in west civ we went to the clay room to work on our project we have yet to start filming but we have a script and the editing down we have all the props now we just need to record it and edit everything into one little movie. We are going to film at reece's house so we can use real swords

today in west civ we watched a video about rome and the government of rome. it was about an hour long. if we had more time in the class we would have a discussion I'm sure but there were some other dramatic things that happened thats all that happened.

today in west civ we learned a lot about the punic wars. there were three wars, one was a naval type battle that took place on the sea, the next was the war where the romans were invaded by the Carthaginians from the north with elephants, the last battle lasted only 4 years and it was when the romans invaded carthage to completely delete the threat from the south. they took over 50,000 child slaves and then rome and Italy was flooded with slaves later on

in west civ class we learned some more facts about rome like their branches of government and how the united states based their government off the roman government. We also learned that the romans will never ever want to have a monarch or a tyrant ever again and we learned about patricians and plebeians. we learned that pats were the ones with all the power and the plebs were mad about it.

today in wast civ we went to a 1920's speakeasy thing from the school instead if regular class where we could hear the stories of famous people from the 20's so this basically means nothing happened in class because we didn't have class we went to a speakeasy.

today in west civ we learned about the patins, greeks, and the romans all in one go. we learned about the big drain that the romans made to drain water from the swamp and drained the water into the tiber river. we learned that the patins are the decedents of the Indo europeans. we also learned about tarqin the proud who was a true tyrant and the seventh and final king in rome after his terrible actions.

today in west civ class mr.schick allowed us to get together with our groups so that we can discuss our project that we are doing to hype up rome. we decided to film it at reece's house so we can use his field. we have all the props now we just need to do the filming and the editing for the little 1 minute movie/reenactment. that is all that happened today in west civ

today in west civ we talked more about rome and how it was formed from greek ideas of government.  we also got a visit from flo rida and he pro formed a rome rap for the class which was funny and we talked about a up and coming project. thats about it

friday in west civ we talked about our upcoming rome project and we formed our groups. reece, penington, and i are one group and we are going to reenact a fight. we discussed what the fight would be about and how we would go about doing it thats about it.

today in west civ mr. schick gave us an over view of the corrections he made on papers. He told us what all his correction marks meant, how to look over a paper and revise it. we basically spent the whole class talking about that paper. We were supposed to watch a video but we had no time thats all that happened in west civ...

today in west civ we got our final grades on the project and paper that we had to do about certain subjects in ancient Greece. we also went over our tests on ancient Greece. other than that we talked about what is good stuff to study from and some other subjects but other than these few things nothing else went on in west civ

today in west civ we took a test on ancient greece and we turned in our paper so thats basically it not much else to write so thats all for today.

yesterday in west civ we put the finessing touches on our paper that will be turned in on Wednesday to mr.schick we also watched a video in class they we had to watch for the test. we had a substitute teacher that class. that is all that happened

Today in west civ we had fabs as a substitute because mr. schick was off in netherlands exploring castles and such so all we did was work on our 1000 word essay in our groups my portion of the essay is complete I'm not too sure about the others in my group.

today in west civ we learned about the greek gods ad goddesses and who they were and what they represent. We also learned about sparta. we took a lot of notes on how all the gods are related. we also learned bout Socrates and hoe he thought about everything with science and logic not with the gods. thats all that happened today

MONDAY IN WEST CIV we got a presentation by mr.schick showing us how to right our 1000 word paper on our google slides topic. he told us that the slides were like an outline. he made a 500 word essay on how to write a 500 word paper and thats what he presented to us. other than that he told us the due date and that was all.

Today in west civ we had to present our projects in google slides, overall i think it went well i think i will get a good grade on that project. we had to take notes on all projects that were not ours which was fine. There was an interesting incident including the inappropriate use of a student's name in a sentence. thats it

Today in west civ we learned about the types of Government that they had in ancient greece. this topic was also the subject of my west civ slide show project. we learned about aristocracy, democracy, and tyrany. other than that nothing else happened in west civ

in west civ monday we had time to work on our projects and mr.schick said that that was the last day we had to work on that project. So if we did not finish you would have to talk with your group and finish it at home or at other places. My group finished the project pretty fast so i think we are good. That is the only thing that went on in west civ.

today in west civ we worked on our new project me and reece got most of the project done in class but skylar still has to do her slides other than that sick people took the makeup pop quiz and schick helped me find stuff for my slides on the project. so we got to work on it the whole class other than that thats all we did in west civ.

today in class we got assigned a project to make on google slides we also talked about a paper we have to do and a test. the slides= 100 points test= 100 points paper= 100 points. other tag that my group i am with will be reece skylark and me

today in west civ we learned about a blind story teller named homer. He wrote the odyssey we also had to do a pop quiz which was very bad for most of the people in the class i got 1 90 i think hopefully, not many people were happy with mr. schick because of this pop quiz that is all that went down in west civ today.

today in west civ we took some more notes about greece and we learned lots about the geography and the different cultures and groups at war and that are at peace in this single country. other than the note taking that is all that went down in west civ today

This building was built in 447 BC - 432 BC. This building was used as a fort and a church. This building was home to the Statue of Athena Parthenos, the statue was made from gold ivory and silver, but in the 5th century the statue was stolen and it was destroyed in Constantinople. The building was built in Athens.

2. Olympia, olympic games Stadium

This location is where the Olympic games come from. The Greeks made this stadium/ field to compete in challenges and sports. this is a very iconic landmark because At this location something originated which still happens to this day.

3. The Temple of Hephaestus

This Greek temple was built in 449 BC - 444 BC. This temple was built in Athens. In the seventh century it was converted to a church. this church is still in use today located in the north west part of the agora in Athens. The temple was originally built for Hephaestus god of metal work and volcanoes.

today in west civ we went over what the cyberday work was and what you can do if you missed it. We also got our tests back which was fine. I am happy with what i got on the test. other than those two things it was short class because it was a two hour delay day and also it was Wednesday which means classes are already shot to begin with thats all that happened in west civ today.

today in west civ it was the first class of the mooring so i was tired we had to take a test that mr.schick told us about 2 days ago the class average was 74.8 over all that was literally the only thing we did today in west five other than talk and look at test scores. thats all

today in west civ we all had to create a pyramid on an online game thing the first 2 groups to be done got an (A) the 3rd and 4th groups to be don got a (B) my group got a B because me and reace figured it out. if you couldn't do it at all you got a zero and iff you finished after the first 4 groups you got a C
that is the only thing we really did the whole class.

the first video is about pyramids and how they were made what they represent and what is put in side them. they contain treasure and the body of a pharaoh. they protect the body and the treasure by using booby traps like false hallways. the treasure was put in the pyramid for the pharaoh to take with him to the afterlife


the second video is about mummification, how they did it and why they did it. they did it to preserve the body and prepare it for the afterlife. they would usually remove every thing from the body accept for the heart and bones.



the final video is about ancient egyptian life and society. the video includes facts about farming, social status, and general life and geography. He mentioned a few facts about the nile and he talked about the pharaohs and how they acted like gods and they were chosen by the gods.

today in western civ we watched the last twenty minutes of the video we have been watching the past few classes. it is about new guinie or how ever you spell it and how they are not geographically blessed and it was also about where some animals came from and hunters and gatherers and thats it thats all we did.

today in western civ we reviewed the material for the test/quiz thing that mr.schick will give us on thursday we also went over the google docs that we created about hammurabi's code and we had to write a few laws from that code that we thought were interesting and iff they still exist in the law today. most of them didn't because they all involve cutting off body parts or getting hanged or stabbed  so a normal day of west civ
