today in west civ we learned about the greek gods ad goddesses and who they were and what they represent. We also learned about sparta. we took a lot of notes on how all the gods are related. we also learned bout Socrates and hoe he thought about everything with science and logic not with the gods. thats all that happened today

MONDAY IN WEST CIV we got a presentation by mr.schick showing us how to right our 1000 word paper on our google slides topic. he told us that the slides were like an outline. he made a 500 word essay on how to write a 500 word paper and thats what he presented to us. other than that he told us the due date and that was all.

Today in west civ we had to present our projects in google slides, overall i think it went well i think i will get a good grade on that project. we had to take notes on all projects that were not ours which was fine. There was an interesting incident including the inappropriate use of a student's name in a sentence. thats it

in west civ monday we had time to work on our projects and mr.schick said that that was the last day we had to work on that project. So if we did not finish you would have to talk with your group and finish it at home or at other places. My group finished the project pretty fast so i think we are good. That is the only thing that went on in west civ.

today in west civ we worked on our new project me and reece got most of the project done in class but skylar still has to do her slides other than that sick people took the makeup pop quiz and schick helped me find stuff for my slides on the project. so we got to work on it the whole class other than that thats all we did in west civ.

today in west civ we learned about a blind story teller named homer. He wrote the odyssey we also had to do a pop quiz which was very bad for most of the people in the class i got 1 90 i think hopefully, not many people were happy with mr. schick because of this pop quiz that is all that went down in west civ today.

cyber day work
1. Parthenon
This building was built in 447 BC - 432 BC. This building was used as a fort and a church. This building was home to the Statue of Athena Parthenos, the statue was made from gold ivory and silver, but in the 5th century the statue was stolen and it was destroyed in Constantinople. The building was built in Athens.
2. Olympia, olympic games Stadium
This location is where the Olympic games come from. The Greeks made this stadium/ field to compete in challenges and sports. this is a very iconic landmark because At this location something originated which still happens to this day.
3. The Temple of Hephaestus
This Greek temple was built in 449 BC - 444 BC. This temple was built in Athens. In the seventh century it was converted to a church. this church is still in use today located in the north west part of the agora in Athens. The temple was originally built for Hephaestus god of metal work and volcanoes.

today in west civ we went over what the cyberday work was and what you can do if you missed it. We also got our tests back which was fine. I am happy with what i got on the test. other than those two things it was short class because it was a two hour delay day and also it was Wednesday which means classes are already shot to begin with thats all that happened in west civ today.

- Mesopotamia is on the Tigris and Euphrates
- Egypt was on the Nile river
- India is on the Indus river
- China is on the Huang he river
Questions:
1. Greece is surrounded on 3 sides which allows for better farming because of the water
2. It is a peninsula, it has a lot of land next to water, because it has water on three sides it can be easily defended because of only one piece of land possible to be attacked from
3. it has water on three sides, good land for farming, easily defendable, many countries on the water to trade with. can take advantage of the water for transportation
4. this would affect their culture by them being wealthy and powerful because they are kinda geographically blessed.
